Peace Pipe Shepherding Poetry

Native American people culturally liked a smoke

It seems to me, that a little peace and calm

Really wouldn’t do the world any harm

To have taken something so simple as smoke

And alleviated it to its current dominion, is somewhat short of a joke.

The smoke (and mirrors) we now do see

Are nothing short of mediocrity

Of the world that was

Could be again, should we decide to love our men

And respect our women and our land

Surely, that should be the plan?

But yet, here we are again

Some fighting to be herd

Some fighting to be led, controlled by something we do not know

Fighting against the written realities as real as John Snow

So easy to draw a line for access to the divine

So, smokers far and wide

Bear in mind that true joy is yours to find

Give, with each toke, do not thee frown

Think sweet, peaceful thoughts as you exhale

Breathe out peace to all around

Each little atom will carry your message to the world

And be found.

The End.

By Samantha Harris. 1st October 2019. After reading the amount of health benefits to natural tobacco that hasn’t been grown with pesticides and then stuffed with preservatives. Earth heals us, give it a chance to.

  1. The planet will heal itself, if we don’t help then we are the problem. The planet has always exercised it’s dominance and the Native Americans knew that, maybe we should have learned from them instead of trying to annihilate them to take the land they called home away from them.

    • At this point the suggestion of blocking out the sun – Bill Gates funded program – with big gas cloud does make me wonder about whether we can really trust TPTB (the powers that be) to really tackle the problem of pollution. They don’t seem to understand the finer points of living a green life – i.e. stop letting companies endanger our environments…saving the bees simple stuff…it’s all about taxes rather than bans.

      • There is already technology available to end mining for oil and gas, including fracking, for a cleaner fresher solution to our future energy needs. Solar, wind, aqua are only the renewables which have been around for a generation, there are other ways to generate energy which is just as clean so we can create cheap energy for all. Those in power don’t want to do this because it will reduce the profits of all the old methods (gas, oil and petroleum manufacturers). Cutting into these profits will eat into the political coffers of the “ruling class”.

          • Especially up here in the North East, almost every week there is a water leak somewhere and who gets the blame? The consumers for not asking for their old pipes to be renewed. Surely it should be down to the companies making billions in profits to change over from lead pipes to copper pipes? Of course not that would mean spending their profits on maintenance and none of them want to do that.
